Protests are continuing in Europe against China's staging of the Olympics over their crackdown on recent unrest in Tibet. In the French capital, Paris, around 80 exiled Tibetans and their French supporters demonstrated outside the country's Olympic headquarters.
There were similar scenes in Berlin and a number of other countries around the world where pro-Tibet supporters and monks demonstrated outside Chinese embassies to repeat calls for a boycott of the Beijing Olympics.
China has consistently blamed the Dalai Lama, Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, for inciting peaceful protests earlier this month against what he called a "cultural genocide." He has denied the claims and called for the Olympics to continue as planned.
